Lanterns Roblox Tutorial: Start, Skip and Movement

The Hero City tutorial introduces Lanterns’ basic controls. Use its welcome panel to begin or skip, then practice movement and find Officer Reyes for your first quest.

On Hero City’s WELCOME, LANTERN panel (1/12), choose LET’S GO to start or SKIP TUTORIAL to skip. Press SPACE again while airborne to double jump, hold SHIFT to sprint, press Q to dash, and use LEFT ALT to toggle Shift Lock. The step 3/12 completion example displays COMPLETE and +25 XP for that movement step.

Start or Skip the Hero City Tutorial

Look for the WELCOME, LANTERN panel on the right side of the screen in Hero City. It is labeled TUTORIAL 1/12.

Select LET’S GO to start. Choose this if you want guidance through the basic controls.
Select SKIP TUTORIAL at the panel’s upper right if you already know the basics and want to skip the tutorial.

Jump, Sprint and Dash

JUMP, SPRINT & DASH is tutorial step 3/12. Use these PC inputs:

Action	Input
Move	Use WASD.
Jump	Press SPACE.
Double jump	Jump, then press SPACE again while airborne.
Sprint	Hold SHIFT.
Dash	Press Q.
Toggle Shift Lock for aiming	Press LEFT ALT.

A completion example for this step displays COMPLETE and +25 XP. The +25 XP message refers to this movement step, not the total reward for the full 12-step tutorial.

Find Your First Quest

If you have no active quest, use the quest menu to find a starting task:

Open QUESTS → ACTIVE and look for the Street Sweep 1/3 recommendation, labeled Lv1.
Follow the green quest marker to Officer Reyes in Market Row.
Approach Reyes, use the displayed Talk input, then choose ACCEPT. Follow the current prompts: the nearby interaction can show H or X, while the Street Sweep acceptance menu labels ACCEPT as H.
